Raiders tend to gather here for the same reason you are visiting, so expect contact near the perimeter. Move to the left-hand outer wall of the complex and follow it until you reach a square breachable container. This container holds the first objective.

After interacting with the cache, the quest shifts to a clue step. Turn directly around from the container and face the treeline behind you. A piece of metal protrudes from the sand between the trees. Interact with that metal plate to complete the quest. You can leave the area or continue scouting Buried City for loot, events, or other missions.
