LEC sommaren 2025 Power Rankings: Översikt över lagen

LEC Summer 2025 is one of the most important tournaments for the European region. It will run from August 2 to September 28 and feature the top 10 teams from Europe. This split promises to be one of the most exciting yet — the teams are quite close in skill level, as shown by recent splits and international events. But this time, there’s a new contender in the title race: Natus Vincere. Let’s dive into the team rankings for this tournament and evaluate their strength.

LEC Summer 2025 All-Teams

Ten teams will compete over the course of a month for a prize pool of €80,000 EUR. But the main goal for every team in this split is to finish in the top three — because the top 3 teams will qualify for the biggest tournament of the year: the World Championship 2025! Let’s take a look at the participating teams and their rosters.

TeamRoster
G2 Esports BrokenBlade, SkewMond, Caps, Hans Sama, Labrov
MKOI Myrwn, Elyoya, Jojopyun, Supa, Alvaro
Karmine Corp Canna, Yike, Vladi, Caliste, Targamas
Fnatic Oscarinin, Razok, Poby, Upset, Mikyx
Natus Vincere Adam, Thayger, Larssen, Hans SamD, Malrang
GIANTX Lot, Isma, Jackies, Noah, Jun
SK Gaming DnDn, Skeanz, Abbedagge, Keduii, Loopy
Team BDS Rooster, Boukada, nuc, Ice, Parus
Team Heretics Carlsen, Sheo, Kamiloo, Flakked, Stend
Team VitalityNaak Nako, Lyncas, Czajek, Carzzy, Fleshy

Now let’s take a look at the latest results of the teams and assess their current form. We’ll also put together a subjective ranking of which teams have the best chances of winning LEC Summer 2025.

G2 Esports

In my opinion, G2 Esports is currently a team that definitely deserves a top-3 spot. Throughout the season, they’ve consistently delivered strong results, qualifying for 2 out of 3 international tournaments. Let’s take a look at their performance during this period.

  • Esports World Cup 2025 — 4th place
  • 2025 Mid-Season Invitational — 7th–8th place
  • LEC 2025 Spring — 2nd place
  • LEC 2025 Winter — 2nd place

Of course, if you compare the 2025 G2 Esports roster to last year’s version, there’s a slight decline following the roster changes. But it would be wrong to say the team has fallen off. They’ve consistently qualified for and performed well at international events, and secured second-place finishes at regional championships. Their results also show that the team is steadily improving and building better synergy. So they should be at least in the top 3 — but I believe we’ll see them in the final.

Movistar KOI

I would place Movistar KOI in second in this ranking. The team has shown solid results this season and looks very promising. Their confident performances in regional tournaments and participation in international events earn them the second spot on this list.

  • Esports World Cup 2025 — 5th–8th place
  • 2025 Mid-Season Invitational — 7th–8th place
  • LEC 2025 Spring — 1st place
  • LEC 2025 Winter — 4th place

The team holds up well against opponents from their own region, but as you can see from the results in other tournaments, problems start to appear. It’s not that MKOI didn’t put up a fight, but for now, the team is still relatively weak compared to teams from other regions.

Karmine Corp

LEC Summer 2025 Power Rankings: Teams Overview 3

Karmine Corp started the year off strong, but later fell just short of qualifying for every international tournament. Their recent results explain why that happened.

  • LEC 2025 Spring — 3rd place
  • 2025 First Stand Tournament — 2nd place
  • LEC 2025 Winter — 1st place

At LEC Spring 2025, the team lost to MKOI in a very close match, which cost them a spot at MSI and a chance to qualify for EWC 2025. Finishing second at the First Stand tournament is, of course, an achievement, but the event was, to put it mildly, weak in terms of competition. Hanwha Life Esports had no real challengers, and KC making it to the finals was a mix of luck and skill — especially considering that CTBC Flying Oyster looked stronger in comparison.

Fnatic

Fourth place confidently goes to Fnatic. They breeze through the group stage with such ease that it often feels like the tournament is already theirs. But then they hit what feels like a wall, consistently falling just a few steps short of reaching the final at every event.

  • LEC 2025 Spring — 4th place
  • LEC 2025 Winter — 3rd place

Twice across two splits, the team was denied a spot in the finals by Karmine Corp. If Fnatic avoids facing them in the bracket or manages to learn from their past mistakes and properly prepare for KC, they have a real chance of making it to the finals.

Natus Vincere

I would give fifth place to Natus Vincere. It might seem like a surprising choice, but their revamped roster looks very promising. According to some insiders, they’ve been performing confidently in scrims against all teams and should be considered the dark horse of the tournament. Of course, it’s unlikely that NaVi will break into the top 3 in their very first tournament, but we’ll have a much clearer picture after their first match of the LEC Spring 2025 Group Stage against Karmine Corp.

GIANTX

LEC Summer 2025 Power Rankings: Teams Overview 4

GIANTX are a consistent mid-tier team in their region. They can challenge any opponent but can also lose to any team. What they lack is consistency in their performance — at times they play like a squad worthy of tournament finals, and at other times their teamplay completely falls apart.

  • LEC 2025 Spring — 5th–6th place
  • LEC 2025 Winter — 5th–6th place

The team has every chance to finish in the top 3–4 if they used the break between splits to improve their teamplay.

Team Heretics

I would place Team Heretics in seventh. They’re similar to GIANTX — a team that can take down match favorites but also lose to weaker opponents. Every year, they deliver consistently average results, usually finishing between 5th and 8th place.

  • LEC 2025 Spring — 5th–6th place
  • LEC 2025 Winter — 7th–8th place

I don’t think this split will be an exception — the team will likely finish somewhere between 5th and 8th place again, despite the addition of a new team to the league. But NaVi have taken the place of Rogue, who previously held 9th–10th positions and lost almost every match.

Team BDS

Objectively speaking, based on results, head-to-head matchups, and overall team performance, Team BDS may be ranked 8th in the standings, but in terms of level of play, they’re on par with GIANTX and Team Heretics, sharing the 6th–8th range.

  • LEC 2025 Spring — 8th place
  • LEC 2025 Winter — 5th–6th place

Compared to last year, the team is clearly in decline, but this situation comes after a long break and preparation between splits, which could significantly improve things. The team is definitely competitive and capable of winning, but this year they just haven’t been able to find their game.

Team Vitality

At the moment, the team is one of the weakest in their region. Team Vitality have been trying to improve their results by making roster changes, but unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out — so they’ve once again made a support swap.

  • NNO Cup Season 3 — 1st place
  • LEC 2025 Spring — 7th place
  • LEC 2025 Winter — 7th–8th place

It’s clear that the team hasn’t wasted any time and has already competed in a tier-C tournament, which they won by defeating SK Gaming 3–0 in the finals. While this victory doesn’t say much about the overall picture, it was important for the team — to test what works and what doesn’t, to build stronger synergy, and to start believing in themselves as a team capable of winning.

SK Gaming

Closing our list is SK Gaming, currently considered one of the weakest teams in the region. Their results speak for themselves:

  • NNO Cup Season 3 — 2nd place
  • LEC 2025 Spring — 9th place
  • LEC 2025 Winter — 9th place

As you can see, the team has shown very poor results this year, finishing 9th and only outperforming the collapsing Rogue roster. Their last notable tournament result was a 2nd place finish at the NNO Cup, where they were completely outplayed by Team Vitality — the team ranked 9th in our top. I’m not convinced SK Gaming can climb any higher, and with Natus Vincere now in the league and looking strong on paper, SK could very well drop to 10th.

Our Take and Prediction for the LEC Summer 2025

In my opinion, it will be difficult to determine the top 3 teams, and we’ll get a clearer picture after the first or second week, once we see what shape the teams are in. Right now, G2 Esports, Karmine Corp, and MKOI are looking strong — they’re the winners of previous splits and participants in international tournaments. But teams like Fnatic shouldn’t be counted out either.

Natus Vincere are the dark horses — it’s hard to know what to expect from them at this point, but the roster looks quite competitive.

I think we’re in for one of the most exciting splits of the year, where anything can happen and any team could make it into the top 3. And of course, we’ll be keeping an eye on NaVi — it would be huge if the team managed to qualify for Worlds in just their first few months. But even a top-5 finish would already be a very solid result.
