Positions on the Anubis Map
Elen StelmakhRecently Valve has released an update for CS:GO where they encroached on the sacred - the Dust 2 map. As a result, the developers deleted one of the most popular and hated maps from the official map pool adding Anubis instead of it.
The Anubis map was added to the fame on 1 April in 2020, but a year later it was deleted as it was useless. No one was playing on it, and it had loads of minor bugs.
However, now the developers decided to revive interest in the map, intentionally making players learn the positions, plans and look for interesting setups. In this relation we offer to get familiar with the basis of the Anubis map and tell you about all key positions. For your convenience, let’s explore the locations from two sides: attack and defense.
Attack
So, we appear on the T-spawn. Moving towards the left part of the map, we get to ruins where we can take two course: on the left there is a banana; and on the right - street. If we go towards the banana, we will see Plant B. Meanwhile, if we head to the street, we will find ourselves on the bridge.

Bridge
If we cross the bridge, we will see a little window where you can easily jump down into the water. Moving further, you will face two positions: “eight” - where a sniper usually picks; and double doors. Then we move to the mid that will take us to “seven”, if we turn left towards the palace we will get to Plant A if we turn right and go down the lane.

Lane
On the other hand, heading from the T-spawn towards the right past of the map, we will again see a bifurcation of the street. Here we turn right to go down the stairs to the boat position. Besides, we also can keep to the right side of the map to get to the sleeve where we will be able to jump down from the boat.

Plant A
From the boat position we can head towards Plant B, through water, or advance to the main where we will see Plant A in front of us.
Defense
Now we shift sides and appear at the CT-spawn. We choose the first course and jump down to the beach which leads us to the tunnel. It takes us to Plant A picking two ways: 1) to turn left and get to “nine”; turn right and get to the “window” next to the lane.

Nine
If you jump down, you will get to the place where the bomb is planted. If you go on, you can get to the fountain where it is very convenient to hide behind a column for meeting attack players from the main. On the other hand, if we go through the lane, we will get to the mid where we can pick opponents from “eight” or the double doors.
Moreover, the center of the map can take us to “seven” to get to Plant B through palaces.
Mid
On the other hand, we return to the CT-spawn and move towards Plant B. Here we face the bifurcation of the street. In the first case we can go through the lower tunnel. In the second case we can jump down from the ledge where the sniper usually hides and meets the opponent from a distance.
Plant B
If go along, we will get to Plant B directly. Here we can choose several positions: having turned right, we can get stuck; having turned left, we can hide in the burrow or get to the position of the back site; head towards the connector to meet the opponents on water.
Anubis is a rather diverse map with a big number of positions. Of course, here we have enlisted general locations that suit a comfortable game in matchmaking. However, professional team use other marks that are comfortable in any case. We recommend training with friends to spot optimal positions and think of marks that work for you.
