IHC gör en ny sensation och slår ut Cloud 9 från IEM Katowice 2023

The IHC team achieves a sensational victory over Cloud9 with a score of 2:0, knocking out the "cloud" ones from IEM Katowice 2023. The Russian team, following BIG, leaves the competition, taking 13-16th place. In turn, IHC advances to the semi-finals of the lower bracket of group A, where they will meet with FaZe Clan.

The final and, perhaps, the most unexpected meeting of the gaming day started on the Inferno map, which, as expected, became the choice of the Mongolian team. At the same time, IHC immediately seized the initiative on the server, demonstrating a confident streak of rounds. However, Cloud9 managed to quickly return to the game and create a comfortable reserve before the switchover — 9:6. In the second half, the Mongolian team managed to pull the blanket over. At some point, the wards of the groove tried to cling, but in vain. As a result, IHC was able to put pressure on the opponent and took the lead in the series — 16:14.

Next, the teams moved to the Mirage map, which became the choice of Cloud9. Here the Russian team tried to control the situation, but every now and then IHC managed to impose its own pace and put up obstacles for the opponent. And yet, the "cloudy" were able to close half of the attack in their favor, having obtained the minimum advantage - 8:7. After the side switch, the game took a dramatic turn as the Mongols pulled off an incredible streak and ran ahead. Despite Cloud9's attempt to make it to overtime, IHC managed to put pressure on them and got a sensational victory - 16:14.

IEM Katowice 2023 takes place from 1 to 12 February in Katowice at the Spodek Arena. As part of the championship, 24 teams from the CIS, Europe, North and Latin America, Asia and Oceania are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as a ticket to IEM Cologne 2023 for the winner.
