Team Spirit och Sprout fick inbjudningar till CCT Central Europe Malta Finals
/GRID in collaboration with GamingMalta and Eden Esports have presented the final list of participants for the upcoming CCT Central Europe Malta Finals. Eight teams from Europe and the CIS will take part in the tournament, which will be held from 16 to 19 February in Malta.
The invited participants will be Team Spirit and Sprout , who recently performed at IEM Katowice 2023. Bad News Eagles and Eternal Fire teams were invited to the championship together with them. In addition, the Spanish team Movistar Riders received an invitation instead of Copenhagen Flames, as the Danes are forced to withdraw from the event due to participation in the open qualifiers for the RMR tournament.
Interestingly, only two teams remained in the list of participants of the championship, having passed to the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals through regional tournaments. Since MIBR withdrew from the tournament even earlier, the Brazilian team's slot went to HONORIS.
The tournament of eight teams will start with the group stage - the top two participants from each quartet will advance to the playoffs. Here the teams will fight in a double elimination bracket, where they will determine the winner of the CCT Central Europe Malta Finals.
The champion of the competition will not only receive the lion's share of the prize pool, but will also be invited to the final CCT Global Finals 2024, which will be held in 2024.
