HOTU confidently defeated ENCE in the first stage of ESL Pro League S22, closing the series with a clean 2:0 score. On Dust2 and Ancient, the team displayed dominant play, and thanks to the individual brilliance of mizu, who was named MVP of the series, they secured advancement to the next stage of the tournament with a 3-0 record.
Dust2 (13:4 HOTU)
On their map pick, Dust2, HOTU confidently closed the first half 10:2. In the second half, ENCE failed to mount a comeback, and HOTU brought the score to its logical conclusion at 13:4.
Ancient (13:8 HOTU)
Ancient also started poorly for ENCE. HOTU took control from the early rounds and, thanks to a streak of won rounds and economic advantage, finished the first half with a dominant 11:1 score. In the second half, ENCE managed to fight back, stringing together seven rounds to reduce the deficit to 11:8, but it wasn’t enough. HOTU secured two key rounds to close out the map 13:8.
