Liquid pulled off an incredible comeback on Mirage and defeated FlyQuest 2–0, securing their spot in the playoffs of PGL Masters Bucharest 2025. Despite being crushed in the first half on their own map pick, the team managed to force overtime and win, then confidently closed out the series on Train. The hero of the match was EliGE, once again proving he remains the heart of Liquid.
Mirage (16:14 Liquid)
The series kicked off on Mirage, picked by Liquid. It initially looked like an easy walk for FlyQuest, as they dominated the first half and closed it out 10–2. However, Liquid made the nearly impossible happen. Switching to the CT side, they mounted an incredible comeback to bring the score to 8–12. Despite being on map point, FlyQuest lost control and allowed Liquid to push the game into overtime, where the North Americans completed their comeback, taking the map 16–14.
Train (13:10 Liquid)
On their opponent’s pick, Liquid started strong and took the first half 8–4. FlyQuest responded with solid defense of their own and closed the gap to 10–11, but Liquid held their ground and denied the overtime opportunity, sealing the map 13–10.
MVP of the Match
The best player of the match was EliGE. His stats: ADR – 80.8, Swing +3.45%, and a 1.32 rating. He was one of the key factors in Liquid’s victory.
Liquid confidently advance to the playoffs with a 3–1 record. FlyQuest are still in contention and will continue their run in the 2–2 bracket, where they’ll have one last chance to qualify for the playoffs. PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 takes place from October 26 to November 1 with a total prize pool of $625,000, where the winning team earns $200,000, with an additional $200,000 going to the organization.
