GamerLegion slår ut HEROIC och går vidare till semifinal i PGL Masters Bucharest 2025

GamerLegion became the first team to reach the semifinals of PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, defeating HEROIC 2–1. After losing on Ancient, the team confidently bounced back on Dust2 and Nuke, with PR emerging as the hero of the series with a 1.59 rating and several crucial rounds that sealed the victory.

Ancient (13:8 HEROIC)

The quarterfinal kicked off on Ancient, GamerLegion’s map pick. From the very first rounds, the advantage was on HEROIC’s side. They built a solid defense and won the first half 7–5. In the second half, thanks to nilo’s strong form — who topped the scoreboard with 20 kills — HEROIC closed out Ancient 13–8.

Dust2 (6:13 GamerLegion)

GamerLegion responded by winning their opponent’s map pick. In the first half of Dust2, they displayed an aggressive defense and secured eight rounds. Switching to the T side, led by PR’s sharp performance, GamerLegion had no trouble finishing the map 13–6, tying the series 1–1.

Nuke (7:13 GamerLegion)

On the deciding map, Nuke, GamerLegion claimed victory once again. HEROIC struggled to find their footing on defense in the first half, while GamerLegion dominated the second half on CT side, allowing HEROIC to win only two rounds on attack. The map ended 13–7 in favor of GamerLegion.

Match MVP

The MVP of the match was PR, who gave everything to push his team into the semifinals. His stats: ADR – 105.7, Swing +5.91, and a 1.59 rating.

HEROIC fall just short of the semifinals, finishing 5th–8th and earning $31,250 for the team and an equal amount for the organization. GamerLegion become the first team to advance to the semifinals. PGL Masters Bucharest 2025 takes place from October 26 to November 1 with a total prize pool of $625,000 — the winner will take home $200,000 for the team and another $200,000 for the organization.
