Aurora got off to a strong start at IEM Krakow 2026 Stage 1, securing a convincing victory over GamerLegion in the opening round. The Turkish squad closed the series 2:0, fully controlling the flow of the game on both maps. Despite winning the pistol rounds, GamerLegion were unable to maintain consistent pressure and will now continue their tournament run in the lower bracket.

Nuke (13:5 Aurora)

GamerLegion started Nuke by winning the pistol round but failed to convert the early advantage. Aurora completely controlled the map on the defensive side. After switching sides, GamerLegion once again won the pistol round, but Aurora remained composed and closed the map without major issues, finishing Nuke 13:5.

Dust2 (13:7 Aurora)

On their own map pick, Aurora once again looked confident. Starting on the T side, they secured a four-round streak early on. GamerLegion managed to slow their opponents down and answered with five rounds of their own, with the first half ending 7:5 in favor of the Turkish team. However, GamerLegion failed to show a solid defense in the second half and eventually lost the map 7:13.

The MVP of the match was woxic, who finished the series with a 1.57 rating.

With this result, GamerLegion begin their IEM Krakow 2026 campaign with a loss and drop to the lower bracket, while Aurora move forward with confidence. IEM Krakow 2026 Stage 1 runs from January 28 to 30, where only 8 of the 16 teams will advance to the main stage of the tournament.
