New information about ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals appeared
Now we know the date and format of holding of the event and all the doubt about the prize pool have disappeared.
EPL #9 Finals will be taking place from 18 till 23 June in Montpellier, France. The group stage will be held in a place called The Exhibition Centre and the playoff — at Sud de France Arena. The prize pool will consist of $750,000. The winner will get $250,000 when the silver finalist will get $110,000.
As for the format, the group stage will be held by the GSL system. 16 collectives will be divided into 2 groups with eight participants in each. The first matches will be held up to one win while the others will take place in a series up to three wins. Three Best teams from each of the group will be held up to three wins. Three Best teams from each of the groups will get to playoff. The collectives taking the first places will start their way from the semifinal when the second and the third places will get to the quarterfinal but the difference will be only in seeding.
The participants of ESL Pro League Season 9 Finals will be defined by European and North American leagues: eight best collectives from each of them will get to the final.
