Team Liquid will participate in ESL One New York 2017
ESL announced on their official website the name of 6th participant to join ESL One New York 2017. Team Liquid became this team.
Liquid are the last players to get direct invitation to the tournament. Previously, FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, SK Gaming, Virtus.pro and Astralis received invites.
Currently, Team Liquid fall on hard times. They took 11 place in the world rating of teams according to HLTV.org. Among their previous results, we should mention 5-6 place on ECS Season 3 Finals, 9-11 place on the main qualifier to PGL Major Krakow 2017 (they did not manage to pass to the LAN-final), and also 5-8 place on ESL One Cologne 2017.
The championship will take place on September 14-17 in Brooklyn, NYC. Barclays Center will be the venue of the event, and the prize pool of $250,000 will be shared among 8 participants.
Previous year, Team Liquid ended their participation in ESL One New York on 3-4 place.
The remaining participants will be determined on European and North American qualifiers.
