And if Monte had played there, the score would hardly have been as lopsided as 13-2 in Astralis’ favor. Predicted result of the match Aurora Gaming – Astralis at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025
Given the current form and tournament context, this matchup between Aurora Gaming and Astralis looks set to be one of the most evenly matched clashes of the group stage. Aurora enter the game as slight favorites according to the bookmakers, and it’s easy to see why — their recent performances have shown tactical maturity, strong map control, and impressive individual form from players like XANTARES and woxic. The Turkish lineup’s confidence has been growing with every event, and their recent consistency across key maps such as Train, Inferno, and Overpass gives them an edge in map vetoes.
On the other hand, Astralis still possess a wealth of experience and structure that few teams can match. The Danish squad often shine in pressure moments, especially under the leadership of dev1ce and Magisk, and they’ve proven capable of turning around difficult series through discipline and strategic adaptation. However, their recent instability and mixed results on several maps could be a limiting factor against a fast-paced and explosive opponent like Aurora.
Taking into account the head-to-head record, which slightly favors Astralis (4–3), and the fact that both teams arrive with a 2–2 record at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, this match could easily go the distance. The most realistic scenario appears to be a tight best-of-three, with Aurora Gaming holding a marginal advantage due to their momentum and more balanced map pool. Therefore, the safest prediction would be Aurora Gaming to win, but with the total over 2.5 maps as the most likely outcome — given the competitiveness and recent history between these two teams.
Prediction: Total Over 2.5.
