At the DreamLeague Season 20 tournament, over 40% of the selected characters turned out to be versatile, as noted by analyst Ben "Noxville" Stinhayzen on his social media platforms.

Stinhayzen emphasized that teams that chose versatile heroes managed to win 35 matches but also suffered defeat in 32 cases. Thus, the strategy of "choosing versatile heroes to win" does not always justify itself.

Versatile characters were introduced into the game as part of the extensive 7.33 update. They lack a primary attribute but gain 0.7 damage for each point of any of the three attributes: strength, agility, and intelligence. Dota 2 currently has 34 versatile heroes, including Enigma, Snapfire, and others.
