Welcome back to EGamersWorld 2023 where we resume our analytical breakdown of the big commercial tournament - DreamLeague S19.

At the end of three days of play, Evil Geniuses share first place with Gaimin Gladiators, Team Liquid and Tundra Esports, thereby guaranteeing their passage to the tournament play-offs for now.

EG has 2 hard wins and 1 defeat in the second stage. Also, EG has a stable and core lineup for DreamLeague S19 Stage 2.

I would still say Wisper is the team's main headliner. In a difficult position, he has a very unique character pool that allows the EG to embarrass their opponents and make them dance to their tune.

As the DreamLeague progresses, S19 Pakazs and company move towards the title of South America's most titled team. Against their Beastcoast counterparts, they look a lot better, and again, this is enabled by a unique playstyle in places, expressed by an extensive pool of heroes in unconventional positions.

Evil Geniuses' most-chosen heroes at DreamLeague S19

Beastmaster and Death Prophet remain at the top of Evil Geniuses' most popular heroes. Both heroes have been taken 8 times each and have a good win rate of 75%.

After DP and Primal Beast comes Leshrac, and he is most often played in the third position. He has appeared 6 times and has a 66% win rate.

In addition, Marci (5 games, 60% wins), Templar Assassin (4 games, 100% wins), and Jakiro (4 games, 100% wins).

Shopify Rebellion form

The Evil Geniuses will face off against Shopify Rebellion in this match. They will play in underdog status with odds of winning around 2.3.

Such easily fits the overall situation at DreamLeague S19. The Peruvian American counterparts are struggling as events unfold at DreamLeague Stage 2.

If during Stage 1 SR looked great, taking points from other top teams and going into the next round with a score of 10-4 without losing a single bo2, things changed in Stage 2. After 3 days, SR is 1-2 with losses to OG and Liquid, and a win over Gaimin Gladiators, as strange as that looks.

Shopify Rebellion's main problem remains their line-up. The lack of a full-time mid laner, much less the level of Abed, significantly affects the team's level of performance.

We can't accuse Mikey of not playing at a high enough level - he proved his mettle during Stage 1, but his pooling lacks quality. I suspect that's the factor that makes Shopify Rebellion vulnerable, which is extremely dangerous for the team in a match against the rather experimental Evil Geniuses.

Shopify Rebellion's most popular heroes

Batrider and Doom are the most popular. The former has appeared in 6 games with 66% wins, while the latter has 33% wins with the same number of games.

Undying (4 games, 75% wins), Invoker (4 games, 50% wins), Mirana (4 games, 50% wins) continue to take.

A few heroes have 100% wins. These are Beastmaster with 3 matches, Snapfire and Lycan with 2.

Ready to believe in the Mikey impulse and name Shopify Rebellion as your favourite, bet on the American club's victory with odds in the region of 2.3.

History of face-offs between Shopify Rebellion and Evil Geniuses

During the 2023 season, the teams have played 2 games against each other. The first, at the Lima Major 2023, ended in a 2-1 victory in favour of Shopify Rebellion, however, it is worth bearing in mind that they were then in full strength.

EG on the other hand have been playing a rather chaotic game, though sometimes in a very disciplined way, like in the first map against TSM.

In this match I will believe in the success of EG, who will outplay their counterparts.
