We continue to study what is happening on the Eastern European Dota 2 competitive scene. Next up is Day 7 of the confrontations within DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division.

HellRaisers and Virtus.pro will open a new circle of matches. Both teams have the prospect of getting into the TOP-4, and therefore the face-to-face meeting will be of particular importance.

VP and HR share the second position in the standings before the match. Both teams have 2 wins and 1 loss.

We are trying to figure out which of the teams will move their colleagues from the second line and become one step closer to Lima Major 2023.

Let's start the analysis of the match by looking at the form of HR. They will be the favorite in this fight.

DPC 2023 started with a match against Nemiga Gaming. HellRaisers got even with Nemiga for insults at the BB Xmas Show, winning the debut confrontation with a score of 2-1.

In the second game at DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division HellRaisers faced One Move. Solo's wards managed to defeat the weakest team in the division with a score of 2-0.

In the third series, HR faced the BB Team. Being the main favorite to win the season, BB confirmed their status without any problems by closing HR.

The most picked heroes by HellRaisers were: Enchantress (4 matches, 75% wins), Tusk (4 matches, 75% wins), Alchemist (3 matches, 100% wins), Crystal Maiden (3 matches, 100% wins), Legion Commander (3 matches, 100% wins).

In addition, they like to use meta carries, which Daxak feels good on. Of these, Naga Siren (6 matches, 50% wins), Sniper (5 matches, 60% wins) can be noted.

Form VP

We continue the review with the analysis of the form of Virtus.pro. They will play catch-up in this match.

The VP tag played mainly on D2CL and did not shine there with much success. The team won the 12th season, but then it went into the TOP-3 in tournaments from 8 to 11 seasons, which is not very significant.

Before the BetBoom Xmas Show, already in a new guise, VP took part in D2CL Season 17. The warm-up tournament with an objectively weak list of participants ended sadly for Virtus.pro.

As part of D2CL Season 17, VP took TOP-6, which is clearly far from optimal results. As part of the BetBoom Xmas Show, the team will get a chance to rectify the situation, but so far nothing hints at this.

In the first match of the playoffs, VP somehow got past PuckChamp, beating them 2-1. Then there was a match against Gaimin Gladiators and a loss with a score of 0-2, although not without a struggle on the first map.

Then there was the start of DPC 2023. The team started with a 0-2 defeat against BB Team, where former Virtus.pro performers play together with TORONTOTOKYO.

Later, VP met with Darkside, where there are also members of various iterations of VP (Ramzes and RodjER). The team turned out to be surprisingly ready for the match and closed the series with a score of 2-0.

In the third match, Virtus.pro played with Nemiga Gaming. Being the outsiders of that match, VP broke the pre-match statistics for the second time and outplayed the favorite.

Virtus.pro's most picked character remains Disruptor (9 matches, 55% win rate). On the heels of the Thunderer is Undying (8 matches, 50% of wins).

Also chosen by VP are Shadow Fiend (4 matches, 75% win rate), Silencer (4 matches, 50% win rate), Lina (4 matches, 50% win rate).

History of personal confrontations

The teams still have not met in head-to-head confrontations after major roster updates. This match will debut in 2023.

The outcome of the fight

In this confrontation, I expect to see a struggle. Both teams must show their best DotA because there can be no underestimation from either side.

I do not believe in a clear victory for either side. I see a 2-1 win for HR as a more realistic outcome, but I have no particular desire to bet on the correct score within Eastern Europe.
