Matchförutsägelse: Team Spirit - OG | Dota 2
DreamLeague Season 19 - Group Stage 1Good to see you at EGamersWorld, where we still can't say goodbye to the first stage of DreamLeague S19. The scheduled games are behind us, but the teams couldn't find the top four in the groups and now we'll take care of that with a betting tour of Team Spirit - OG in the top 4 of Basket B.
We've analysed 7 games each of OG and Team Spirit, compared their performance at home, looked at the international scene (one side in particular) and are now ready to share the information with you. Below that, we talk about the teams' form and which team to pick for a bet.
Let's dive into the maelstrom of fun called bo1 tiebreaker. Let's go.
Team Spirit - Eastern Europe's latest representative
Let's start analyzing Team Spirit - OG with a review of the former's form. They're the favourites in this encounter, as bookmakers point out.
Bookmakers put their odds at around 1.6 for the Spirit win. For the Bo1 match, this figure does not carry any significance, although it does put Spirit slightly ahead.
Judging by the performance over the course of the tournament, everything is more than obvious. The teams played equally, even mirror-like, otherwise they wouldn't have got into the tie-break situation.
If you look more globally, Spirit look more attractive, for their performance on the year is an order of magnitude higher than that of OG. In the home arena, in DPC 2023: EEU Upper Division, Spirit have twice finished in the top-2, missing out on BB Team in the first round and losing the championship to HellRaisers in the second.
In between the home league, Spirit played in the Lima Major 2023, where they finished in the top-8, the best result for the region. It was also an important experience for Spirit, who replaced a mid-laner at the Long Long Run with a less experienced player with little experience at the global level.
- Team Spirit squad: Yatoro, Larl, Collapse, Mira, Miposhka
After the regular matches we can say that the Spirit play pretty harmoniously, but not without the niggles. Let's return to the factor of getting to the replay to make sure there are some.
The main problem of Spirit in DreamLeague S19 can be called the team's drafts. At times, the Dragons allow themselves too much and end up in unenviable situations, such as losing to Ursa from NGX.MC on a difficult line. This should not be allowed to happen to a team that is competing for the top spot in a $1,000,000 tournament: No Anti-Mage on the first spade and everything should work out.
Team Spirit picks at DreamLeague S19
TS picks Drow Ranger (5 games, 80% wins), Rubick (4 games, 75% wins), Doom (3 games, 100% wins).
Disruptor, Storm Spirit, Mirana, Undying and Tusk each have 3 appearances. The first 3 (DIsruptor, Storm Spirit and Mirana have 2 wins each), but Undying and Tusk have only won 1 of the games in which they appeared.
Spirit, due to their good performances in Eastern Europe and a generally decent level of play in the international arena can win this bo1 and get closer to the top 4, but only if they don't take Anti-Mage on the first pick or the likes of Magnus on the centre.
Believe in the success of the last Eastern European representative - pick TS as the winner at odds around 1.6-1.7.
If you don't hurry to bet on the bo1 match, we would like to evaluate the level of Team Spirit's opponent, OG. We describe their game form below.
Form OG - the team in an attempt to return to the top of Western Europe
Let's move on to a review of the playing form of OG, who in underdog status will battle with OG for the chance to get into the top 4. Only the possibility, because among the contenders there is also Beastcoast, but not about that now.
Now we talk about OG's chances of winning and why they are in the outsider status, although they played more than expected at DreamLeague. The first point is the bookmakers' estimation that the odds on OG's victory are around 2.2.
The second point is OG's lack of experience playing on the international stage in 2023. DreamLeague S19 aside, OG did not qualify for the Lima Major 2023 and that is definitely a minus.
In addition, the team is not showing the most confident results on the home stage. In the first round, OG finished in the top 5 on the teabaggers, but in the second round, given their previous experience, they were able to qualify for The Berlin Major 2023.
By the way, for the OG squad, the replay for reaching the top 4 at DreamLeague S19 will not be the first time in this lineup, which is a plus.
- OG line-up: Yuragi, bzm, DM, Taiga, Chu.
Prior to the Long Songpeg Tournament, OG were a distinctly one-player team, but at DreamLeague Season 19 bzm was joined as headliner of the squad by DM, who is showing arguably his best game since moving from the Outsiders.
OG Heroes at DreamLeague S19
Rubick was the most frequent guest in the OG picks at this tournament. The snapper has appeared in the OG arsenal 7 times and has a 57% win rate.
Disruptor, Slark and Techies were used quite often. The heroes were taken 5 times each, but with a decreasing win rate: 80% for Disruptor, 60% for Slark and 40% for Techies.
Also in the pool are Monkey King (4 matches, 75% wins), Dark Willow and Doom (4 matches, 50% wins), and Zeus (4 matches, 25% wins).
If you believe in the ultimate comeback of OG in "big Dota 2", pick OG as the winner of this bo1 match at odds of 2.2.
Before you make your choice, we suggest you look back at the Spirit and OG game during the group stage.
History of Team Spirit - OG head-to-head encounters
Team Spirit and OG had a head-to-head clash on April 11 in which they played out a draw.
Predicted Team Spirit - OG result
The b1 format is always roulette and predicting the winner is difficult. Especially when playing teams that have drawn in the regular season.
My preference goes to OG. The "toughness" of OG in such games will be the main argument: The European club will play its third tiebreak of the season and that will play in their favour.
Bottom line: OG win.
Forecast and analysis on the important replay between Team Spirit and OG for a place in the next round of DreamLeague Season 19. I think there will be no sensation here and Spirit will win through good preparation.
OG - a lot of their game is built around bzm and DM. There are key heroes in OG, against which it is very risky to bet. Of these I can mention Ember Spirit/Invoker from bzm; Beastmaster and Doom from DM, as well as Morphling for Yuragi. In general, quite a narrow pool of heroes in the team and it often affects them.
Team Spirit - they are not able to close the series cleanly and now in BO1 they will have to show maximum preparation and focus. Good heroes for this team are Rubick from Mira; Drow Ranger/Anti-Mage/Morphling for Yatoro. A lot of their builds from the way Larl stands his line. He's got some Storm Spirit, Sniper, Dragon Knight in his pool, which you can't forget about.
Conclusions on the OG vs Team Spirit match
In the group stage, the teams played a draw 1:1, in BO1 Team Spirit has more chances as Yatoro has a bunch of heroes that he can cover. Of course the key fight will be for Dragon Knight, Ember Spirit, Enchantress and Morphling. I'll trust the favorite, but Team Spirit has been very weak in this group stage so far.
Prediction: Team Spirit will beat OG for 1.66
