We continue to look at what's going on at PGL Wallachia Season 1. Here are the final three participants of the play-offs of the major championship.

BB and G2.IG are fighting for the right to play in the main stage of the championship. The winner of the series goes to the play-offs, and the loser leaves the championship.

BB Team uniforms

Let's open the match analysis with the analysis of BB Team uniforms. In this match they will play as favourites with odds to win at around 1.5.

In the first season of the regional league BB Team took the top 1, very confidently running over their main opponents Spirit and HR. However, the success was quickly overshadowed by their performance at Lima Major 2023, where BB failed to make it out of the group.

A few inconclusive events later, BB Team began play in the second division of the DPC. This time the situation changed dramatically, from top 1 to top 3, but on the international stage everything was stable: another failure to get out of the group at the Major e.

The third season of DPC was held under the slogan "it's time to get back", but somehow it didn't work out, something didn't go well and in the end - TOP-2. Again, kind of significant, but if we compare Western and Eastern Europe, TOP-2 in the first case is much more prestigious than BB's achievement.

BB Team's moment of glory was DreamLeague Season 20. Having got to the tournament quite by chance (they replaced Execration), the Eastern European residents managed to make it to the grand final of the tournament, where they beat Gladiators, but eventually lost with the score 2-3.

After a solid group stage at The Bali Major 2023 with a 4-2-2 from BB, Eastern European Resident made it to the top set of play-offs. There the team outplayed Tundra Esports, but due to a tournament rules violation that result was cancelled. As a result, Bali Major 2023 ended for BB Team in the top 12.

After the last Major tournament of the season BB Team attended a number of other events. Among them is the Riyadh Masters 2023. At the biggest commercial tournament of the season, BB Team made it to the top 6, which is pretty good.

In addition to the Riyadh Masters 2023 BB Team also made an appearance at the BB Dacha. The tournament from the main sponsor BB Club finished without having started: BB Team failed to get out of the group and as a result finished in the top 8.

In the group stage of DreamLeague Season 21 BB Team played in Group B. They managed to take the 2nd place, passing only Team Spirit.

BB visited The International 2023. Then the team managed to reach the top 6, but they were knocked out of the tournament by Azure Ray.

At ESL Kuala Lumpur 2023 BB played the group stage neutrally, playing all matches in a draw. This allowed them to advance to the play-offs, where BB looked much better than they did in the group: 2-0 against Tundra Esports and 2-0 against G2.IG. However, BB Team went on to face Team Liquid and ended up in the top 4. Next BB Team played at BB Dacha Dubai 2024, where they reached the Top 3.

At the end of the first day of games at DreamLeague Season 22 BB Team took the first place in their group. They won against GG and played a draw with Vp. Further the situation for BB was not worse: on the second day they closed Azure Ray with the score 2-0. Despite two draws on the third day, this did not prevent them from advancing to the second group stage of the tournament.

BB Team started the second stage of DreamLeague Season 22 with victories from OG, Xtreme Gaming and Shopify Rebellion. As a result, they reached the grand finals, where they were run over by Falcons with a score of 3-0. Things were much worse at the Elite League: Top 12.

Before playing at PGL Wallachia Season 1 BB Team played at the first LAN tournament of the season 2024 - ESL One Birmingham 2024. There they reached the grand final, where they were defeated by Ledge and Falcons with the score 0-3.

At PGL Wallachia Season 1 BB Team play, as they call it, cardinally: if they win, as in the case of SR and MOUZ, then 2-0 and lose, as against Aurora and Spirit, 0-2.

BB Team's most popular characters

The most used BB Team character remains Storm Spirit (5 matches, 60% wins). The team also plays with Primal Beast and Pugna at position 4, and both heroes have 4 matches and 100% wins each. In spades was Enchantress (4 matches, 25% wins), Beastmaster (4 games, 0% wins).

Form G2.IG.

We continue our match breakdown with an analysis of G2.IG's match form. In this match, they will play as an outsider with win odds around 2.7.

In the first round of DPC 2023 Invictus Gaming took the top 6, almost losing their place in the top division, but they got through. Naturally, Major e was out of the question.

In the second round of DPC 2023: China Upper Division there was no talk about Major e either, but somehow Invictus Gaming got there. The team made it to the top-3 in the home league, only to fall to the ground: Invictus Gaming finished in the top-18 at Berlin Major 2023.

The third season of DPC gave hope for an IG comeback. IG went to Bali with a top-2 DPC in their pocket, but the curtain came down. The team finished top-18, thus failing to confirm their status as the top-2 team in China.

After a series of failures, which can be attributed to the failure at the qualifiers for The International 2023, IG completely rebuilt the roster, inviting all the top players from the region. Now the team has a lot of potential to fulfil.

The renewed G2.IG squad showed great results in the group stage of ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023. The Chinese took the top 1 in Group B Ledgeiv on only one map. In the first play-offs match, G2.IG faced Gaimin Gladiators. In an intense match, one of last season's top teams, GG, proved to be stronger and closed out the series with a 2-1 score.

Falling to the bottom grid of Kuala Lumpur 2023 the team lost to BB Team and left the championship. As a result, G2.IG finished in the top 8 at the first major tournament of the season.

Next, G2.IG played 3 qualifying tournaments. BB Dacha 2024: CN and SEA Closed Qualifiers, where they finished top 8, DL Season 22: China Qualifier, where they finished top 2 and ESL One Birmingham 2024: China Closed Qualifier, where they finished first.

DreamLeague Season 22 G2.IG got off to a terrible start. The team played two series and lost both of them with the score 0-2. The second day was much better - already two draws. However, it didn't allow them to stay afloat: after the third game day, where G2.IG played a draw with BB and lost to Azure Ray, the team lost their chances to qualify for the play-offs.

After the failure at DreamLeague Season 22, G2.IG played two qualifying events: DreamLeague Season 23 China Qualifier and PGL Wallachia. They couldn't make it to the first one, but they will go to Romania after winning the qualifiers against Azure Ray.

Played at ESL One Birmingham 2024, where they reached the top 6. At PGL Wallachia Season 1 Long Co-played from 0-2, but then cameback to score 2-2.

In this match my bet will be on G2.IG. I have absolutely no faith in BB as a team that is capable of winning anything, but the Chinese club after two successful victories on plus morale can close the smashed Spirit-led BB.
