/G2 Esports beat Misfits Gaming 3-1 in the LEC Summer 2022 playoffs, thanks to which they made it to the upper bracket final. The second match within the playoffs of LEC Summer 2022 started with a confident victory for G2 Esports in the first game in 30 minutes and 34 seconds. However, the Misfits Gaming players managed to level the score in just 24 minutes and 58 seconds. It seemed that an equal match awaited the audience, but G2 Esports managed to get together to win the next two games and make it to the finals of the upper bracket of the championship.

LEC Summer 2022 runs from June 17 to September 11 in Berlin (group stage) and Malmö (playoffs). As part of the championship, ten European teams are fighting for a total prize pool of €200,000, as well as four tickets to the 2022 World Championship.

The 2022 World Championship will take place from September 29 to November 5 in Mexico and the United States. As part of the championship, 24 teams from all over the world (excluding the CIS) will compete for a total prize pool of $2,225,000.
