Welcome to EGamersWorld.
We continue to look at what's happening at Worlds 2024. The main tournament of the year deserves a close look at every match of the championship, including the Play-In games.
Play-In is important for the reason that four teams will advance to the next stage, where they will play against top teams like T1, BLG, Gen.G and others. Among the contenders for the next round are 100 Thieves and Rainbow7, who will open Worlds 2024 with a face-to-face match.
We are trying to find out how the match 100 Thieves - Rainbow7 will end and will pass to the next round of the top grid of Play-In Worlds 2024, and who will have to continue the fight in the lower part of the grid.
Let's go.
Form 100 Thieves
Let's open the 100 Thieves vs Rainbow7 match with an analysis of the 100 Thieves form. In this match they will play as clear favourites with odds to win at around 1.1.
In the season before last, 100 Thieves had a good result. At LCS Lock-In 2022, the team finished in the top 8 and then improved significantly.
At LCS Spring 2022 and LCS Summer 2022, they finished in the top 2 both times. This guaranteed them an appearance at Worlds 2022, but they failed to get above Top 14.
- 100 Thieves line-up: Sniper, River, Quid, Tomo, Eyla
In the 2023 season, 100 Thieves' success was much more modest. Last year, the team played "faded": Top 6 at LCS Spring 2023 and Top 8 at LCS Summer 2023.
In the 2024 season, 100 Thieves scored again. In the LCS Spring 2024 LCS Split, the team finished Top 4, losing to Liquid in the Top 3 match. Summer 2024 qualified for the regular season in 5th place, making it to the LCS Summer 2024 playoffs.
They made it to the top net, where they played against Dignitas in the first match, winning 3-0. But in the next round they ran into Team Liquid and lost 0-3. However, that was just the beginning of 100 Thieves' journey to the LCS Summer 2024 play-offs. After finding themselves in the bottom of the LCS 100 Thieves beat Dignitas 3-2 and then defeated Cloud9 to create one of the biggest sensations in the region.
By finishing in the top 3 of LCS Summer 2024, 100Thieves guaranteed themselves a place at Worlds 2024.

Rainbow7 form
We continue the analysis of the match Rainbow7 vs 100 Thieves with the analysis of Rainbow7's form. In this match they are playing as an outsider with odds to win at around 5.
Rainbow7 made it to the Worlds 2023 under the South American quota. The Mexican club with zero Mexicans in their roster had a successful home season: first it was Top 1 at LLA Opening 2023 with a 3-2 win against Six Karma, and then Top 1 at LLA Closing 2023, where they defeated Estra Esports 3-0 in the final.
- Rainbow7 roster: Summit, Oddie, Keine, Ceo, Lyonz.
In addition to regional honours, Raibow7 have the experience of playing at MSI. They got there this year after personnel changes in the lineup at the Long Season Convocation. There they expectedly showed their game by finishing in the top 11.
Worlds 2023 is the 3rd tournament of the series for the Mexican club. Rainbow7 were previously featured in the main event of the year in 2017 and 2020 and twice they finished in the top 20. There is a minimal chance of rectifying the situation now, but it is hard to believe it all.
In their first match at the World Championships, Rainbow7 met PSG Talon. The main favourite to qualify for the group stage proved their status by beating their teammates 2-0. Then Rainbow7 lost to GAM without a chance and left the tournament ranked in the top 20.
Upon their return from the failed championship, Rainbow7 took up their old ways, that is, playing on the home stage. In the spring split of the 2024 season, at LLA Opening 2024, they finished in the top 2, but good for them they won the summer split - LLA Closing 2024, getting a place at Worlds 2024.

Predicted result of 100 Thieves - Rainbow 7 at Worlds 2024
In this match my bet is on 100 Thieves. Their opponent, Rainbow7, has earned the fame of a tourist at Worlds and it seems that they will not be able to outplay 100 Thieves, even taking into account the fact that 100 Thieves lacks the level of play and "strength".
Bottom line: 100 Thieves wins.
