Matchförutsägelse: Cloud9 - FlyQuest | LoL
LCS Spring 2023 - PlayoffsThe temperature of tension in North America is heating up. The top final of the LCS Spring 2023 play-offs is about to begin.
With 4 competitors left in the chase for the champion's title, $100,000 for first place, and two trips to the Mid-Season Invitational 2023, today we talk about the main contenders for the win. Cloud9 and FlyQuest will battle it out for a place in the grand final.
The format of the match, as before, is a game of three victories (bo5). Winner goes to grand final, loser drops to bottom net where will get second chance.
Cloud9 have reached the play-offs from first place in the regular season. Cloud9 defeated Counter-Logic Gaming 3-1 in the opening game of the main stage.
FlyQuest finished the regular season in second place. The squad managed to beat 100 Thieves 3-0 on their way to the top net final.
We'll try to see which of the similarly placed teams can make it through to the LCS Spring 2023 finals, and who will try their luck in the lower reaches of the tournament.
Cloud9 Form
Let's open our match analysis with a review of Cloud9's playing form. In this match, they are seen as the favourites for the encounter.
The odds of a C9 win are estimated at odds in the region of 1.6. Closer to the LCS finals, such pre-match quotes become commonplace.
It's easy to accept C9's position before the start of the top-seeded finals. They are historically the best team in North America, and if we take a closer look at their results this year, we can see that C9 are in a slightly better position than their archrivals.
Cloud9 lineup
The C9 roster has had a spot change at the start of the new season. "Clouds welcomed a new midfielder, who was South Korean legionnaire EMENES.
C9 players
- Fudge
- Blaber
- EMENES
- Berserker
- Zven
During the regular season Cloud9 played as a single fist, which, however, did not prevent them from pulling the blanket over themselves. For example, one of the most effective players in the group stage was Fudge, who earned 5 MVPs at once.
In the first leg of the play-offs, Berserker shone. The CLG felt the impact of his Zeri, because of which they had to relegate him to the bottom of the table.
Cloud9's performance
Cloud9 finished in the top 15 at last year's Worlds 2022. The team failed to make it past the group stage.
Failure at Worlds 2022 has not affected Cloud9's desire and ability to take the lead at LCS Spring 2023. The C9s finished in first place at 14-4 during the LCS Spring 2023 regular season.
They played a tie-break against FlyQuest for first place, where they won 1-0. They started the play-offs from the top of the standings.
In the first round of the main stage, Cloud9 played against Counter-Logic Gaming. The match was very uneventful, although CLG could only manage to pick up one card, but no more than that: 3-1 in favor of Cloud9

FlyQuest Form
Cloud9 will face FlyQuest on their way to the LCS Spring 2023 Grand Final. The latter will play as the underdog.
Bookmakers estimate the chance of success FlyQeust in this match-up odds in the region of 2.2. For a League of Legends of this level, this is a very flexible figure.
The pre-match odds are an accurate reflection of the situation before the start of the tournament. Such a marginal difference can be explained by the performance of the teams during the regular season, where FlyQuest were as close as possible to the taken top 1, but lost in the tiebreaks.
FlyQuest line-up
Like C9, FlyQuest did not change their core line-up before the start of the LCS 2023 Spring Split. The only point change was at the wingback position when the Australian Eyla returned to the team after sitting on the bench for nearly a month.
FlyQuest players
- Impact
- Spica
- VicLa
- Prince
- Eyla
The headliners of FlyQuest have been and remain the team's South Korean legionnaires. Spica and VicLa combined for 10 regular season MVP awards, which says a lot about the abilities of the team's midfielder and jungle.
In the first game of the playoffs, the same Spica was basking in the glory rays. Foresters FlyQuest was named MVP for the game, rolling Wukong twice and playing 1 card for Maokai.
FlyQuest's performance
At LCS Spring 2023 the team finished second in the group stage, losing in the replay to Cloud9. The team finished 14-4 in the group stage.
The team lost to runners-up Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid and TSM. However, having played each of the teams twice, FlyQuest picked up one match.
The team did not sustain a clean loss in the group stage. The team did not take part in any side events.
In the first match of the playoffs, FlyQuest played against 100 Thieves. An opponent that could nominally compete with FQ proved unable to take even a map: the match ended in a 3-0 defeat in favor of FlyQuest.
FlyQuest champions
FlyQuest's top playoffs include KSante (9 matches, 66% wins), Sion (4 matches, 50% wins), Jax (2 games, 100% wins) and Renekton (2 matches, 100% wins).
Maokai (5 games, 80% wins), Sejuani (4 games, 25% wins), Vi (4 games, 100% wins), Amumu (3 games, 100% wins) are picking in the forest.
The centre line has the most variety. Sylas-a (4 games, 75% wins), Azir-a (2 games, 100% wins), Akali (2 games, 50% wins), Annie (2 games, 100% wins), Ahri (2 games, 100% wins).

History of head-to-head encounters
The teams have previously played each other during the regular season. In the regular season they played out a draw (1-1 on games), but in the tiebreaks C9 beat their archrivals, thus taking the symbolic TOP-1.
The outcome of the match
In this match, there's every chance to see a level playing field. The teams are worthy of each other, as we have already seen in the group stage.
The game will be built around the Foresters and in this respect FlyQuest has a slightly greater advantage. On the other hand, Cloud9 have a very lively duo-bot and a serious topper, due to which they should beat their opponents.
I'm sure the game won't end on three cards. C9 are better suited for the role of winner, as they are historically successful in regional leagues and have already beaten FlyQuest twice this season.
Bottom line: a 3-2 win for C9.
