ENCE and OG were the first to leave

ENCE and OG got the most unpleasant: they were the first to leave the previous championship and took the 7-8 place. ENCE was about to beat FaZe Clan taking one map from them and joined the lower bracket. There they met their executors, G2 Esports. It is worth noting that the Finnish players were not giving up while fighting with G2 and managed to win one map but that was not enough for a good performance.

Initially, OG approached the tournament as the main outsider so there is nothing noteworthy about their loss. The team was incapable of beating Complexity Gaming at the upper bracket and after that, the esportsmen got defeated at the match with Ninjas in Pyjamas. If in the upper bracket the players were able to get one map from Complexity, their fight with the Swedish esportsmen brought them only six rounds on each map.

The 7-8 place resulted in $10,000 for both ENCE and OG as a consolation prize.

G2 Esports and NiP sere the second to get dismissed

G2 Esports held forth big hopes and got to the tournament as a favorite. The esportsmen have been showing great results at the battle lately and they won the first position in the list of the best CS:GO teams according to HLTV. That is why there were many expectations placed on the French players but they were not realized. At the first match, they got beaten by Team Vitality. This match brought them no map. As we know, at the lower bracket they sent ENCE to watch the championship as a viewer. But the battle with NAVI brought them no luck. Having won one map, they finished participating in the tournament.

Meanwhile, NiP performed as it had been expected. The esportsmen were unable to beat NAVI at the upper bracket, beat OG at the lower bracket, and got defeated by Team Vitality. As well as the majority of fans, we wanted to see a beautiful battle with the French players. However, this undertaking was failed and apEX and his teammates won 2-0.

G2 Esports and NiP took the 5-6 place in the championship and got a monetary reward of $15,000.

NAVI and FaZe were close

NAVI was close to making it to the final of the lower bracket but the esportsmen were stopped by Vitality. A kind of el Classico between the two best players of the planet ended up well for ZyWoo. At the upper bracket, Natus Vincere fell down after a battle with Complexity. As we found out later, COL got into great gaming shape.

If NAVI was close to the final of the lower bracket, FaZe was about to get the desired invitation to BLAST Premier 2020 Global Final with the prize pool of $1,500,000. They were stopped by the French esportsmen from Vitality as in the case with NAVI. The team showed its best so FaZe could not win even one map. We should pay attention to the fact that the teams had an intense series where the battle ended up with 19-15 and 16-14 at the second.

Natus Vincere took the fourth place in the tournament bracket and got 4 $20,000 whereas FaZe Clan became a bronze finalist and earned $30,000.

Complexity and Vitality

Does everybody remember how Vitality destroyed all the opponents having got to the lower bracket? And do you remember how easily they dealt with Complexity and became the champions as it had been expected? And we do not remember either. That is because Complexity got a trophy as a renewed roster for the first time. Moreover, this victory was the biggest and the most important for Complexity in the history of the esports club. The players earned $335,000 at this championship. For comparison, the second biggest prize for them was earned in July 2006. Then the team won $50,000 and as for the other championship, Complexity won smaller sums. That is why the final between Complexity and Vitality was a kind of historic for 16-year-old oBo and the other member of the team of the American organization.

It is remarkable that the first map ended up with 16-2 for Vitality. When everybody thought that the French players were about to win, Complexity pulled itself together and made a beautiful comeback winning the second map with 19-16 and the third map with 16-12. The final of BLAST Premier Spring 2020 European Finals is a striking example of what kind of a final there should be at a good CS:GO championship intriguing the viewers till the very end and having unexpected turns of events.

America

Mortification of Furia

FURIA Esports has recently taken the position of the king of the American division and did not let anyone relax. That is why the team approached the championship as the main favorite but showed something that was not expected by FURIA fans. The Brazilians were unable to beat their countrymen from MiBR and climbed down to the lower bracket where they defeated Liquid. At the match for entering the grand final, HEN1 and his teammates were incapable of winning over Evil Geniuses so they took the third place out of four possible ones. We expected FURIA to win or at least the second place but not the third. That is why the teams earned $15,000 and lost an invite to the main event of the BLAST Premier 2020 series.

MiBR and its way to success

“You cannot touch your eye with your elbow” — this is what is said in situations similar to the one that happened to MiBR. FalleN and his teammates were playing well throughout the championship but the players lacked something to achieve the set goal. At the first battle, the team defeated FURIA Esports with the results of 2-0, after that the esportsmen beat Evil Geniuses 2-1 at the upper bracket. After joining the grand final, MiBR had an uneasy task: the [layers had to oppose the enraged American who made it to the final battle and waited for the re-match. Despite the big work, the Brazilian were not able to defeat Evil Geniuses and, as a result, they took second place in the championship. They earned $65,000 and lost the desired invitation to BLAST Premier 2020 Global Final. The result of the decisive battle is also worth noting. The first map of the grand final ended up with 16-14 and the second with 19-15.

Evil Geniuses surprised

Evil Geniuses has been performing not very stably lately so there were many questions about their game. Besides, EG was unable to be called the main favorite of the event due to the mentioned reasons. Nevertheless, tarik and his brothers-in-arms were able to show a great performance and won the championship. $160,000 and an invitation to BLAST Premier Spring 2020 Global Final, a tournament with prize grabs of $1,500,000, was definitely worth putting in efforts to win the championship.

Liquid on the decline

Team Liquid has completely lost its gaming shape. Nobody has counted on good results of this team for a long time. Maybe, everything is likely to be changed soon but now we see what we see. Both Evil Geniuses and FURIA Esports became stumbling blocks for Twistzz and his teammates and, as a result, the team gained a consolation prize of $10,000.
