IEM Cologne stands as one of the most anticipated tournaments in the Counter-Strike calendar, where the best teams compete for one of the most prestigious trophies in the scene. This year promises to be no exception, with the top 15-ranked teams battling for the title in Germany.

Teams and Competition Format

IEM Cologne 2024 will feature a robust competition structure across three stages: the Play-in, Group Stage, and Playoffs.

Play-in Stage: A double-elimination BO3 bracket where teams must win two matches to progress to the Group Stage. Teams losing two matches will be eliminated.
Group Stage: Continues the double-elimination BO3 format. Winners of each group advance directly to the playoff semi-finals, while the second and third-placed teams proceed to the quarter-finals.
Playoffs: Transition to a single-elimination bracket. Both the quarter-finals and semi-finals are BO3 matches, culminating in a BO5 grand final.
