Results of the First Day of The International 2024 Main Event
It's notable that all matches yesterday ended with a 2-0 score, with few teams offering significant resistance to their opponents. The first match of the day was between BB Team and Team Falcons, where BB Team couldn't stand up to their opponents and lost their chance to continue in the tournament.
The second match of the day was between Aurora and Xtreme Gaming. Ame and his team crushed their opponents, and Aurora ended their run in 7th-8th place.
The first upper bracket match was between Team Liquid and Cloud9. In the first game, Cloud9's Zeus pick didn’t work out, and despite Dota Plus giving them about a 70% chance to win in the second game, Team Liquid secured better map positions, won crucial fights, and knocked Cloud9 down to the lower bracket.
Many Dota 2 fans were eagerly anticipating the final match of the day, uncertain about who would emerge victorious. However, Gaimin Gladiators swiftly dealt with Tundra Esports, sending them down to the lower bracket.
Lower Bracket
- Team Falcons 2:0 BB Team
- Xtreme Gaming 2:0 Aurora
Upper Bracket
- Team Liquid 2:0 Cloud9
- Gaimin Gladiators 2:0 Tundra Esports
The prize pool is not yet final, as it directly depends on Dota 2 fans and their purchases of the in-game compendium.
