Ihor MatusThe Chinese league LPL Summer 2022 has come to an end. JD Gaming and Top Esports fought in the grand final and held a full-fledged Bo5 meeting.
The first map was taken by JD Gaming in 31 minutes, after which, in a tough battle, Top Esports brought the game to a draw in 48 minutes. The third map went to JD Gaming in 32 minutes. The latter were one step away from victory, but Top Esports showed an excellent performance on map 4 and ended the game in a draw. The last map was not so intense, and as a result, the Nexus of players from Top Esports fell and JD Gaming won the match and the tournament.
For their pipes, the team received the main reward in the form of 2,000,000 Chinese yuan, which is equivalent to $292,100. In addition, the team received an invitation to the 2022 World Championship and received a quota in the group stage, skipping the Play-In. Top Esports, by the way, earned enough rating points for their performance in the LPL Summer 2022 in order to also skip the Play-In stage and start their journey from the group stage.
Top Esports earned 1,000,000 Chinese yuan for the 2nd place, which is equivalent to $146,050. The top 6 also included EDward Gaming, LNG Esports, Royal Never Give Up and Victory Five.

LPL Spring 2022 was held from June 10 to September 1. The total prize pool of the tournament was 4,200,000 Chinese Yuan (~$613,412). The league was attended by 17 participants.
2022 World Championship, where JD Gaming have been selected, will be held from September 29 to November 5. The total prize pool of the League of Legends World Championship will be $2,225,000. Teams will play in San Francisco, Atlanta, New York and Mexico City.
