JD Gaming bygger om truppen med JunJia, HongQ och Vampire för 2026
JD Gaming have announced the signing of three new players as they prepare for the 2026 season. After an underwhelming performance last year, the organization decided to refresh key positions and adjust its roster-building strategy.
The team confirmed the additions of jungler Yu “ JunJia ” Chun-Chia and mid laner Tsai “ HongQ ” Ming-Hong from CTBC Flying Oyster, as well as support Zhao “ Vampire ” Zhe-Can, who was acquired during the LPL bidding phase.
JunJia returns to the LPL for the first time since 2023, while 18-year-old HongQ will debut in one of the strongest leagues in the world after an outstanding year in the LCP, where the duo dominated and won all three splits.
Vampire joins JDG after a strong season with Team WE, where he was considered one of the most promising young supports in the league.
It is also known that JD Gaming initially targeted Kanavi, but were unable to match HLE’s financial offer and instead shifted their focus to the successful JunJia–HongQ duo.
Projected JD Gaming roster for 2026:
- Top: Xu "Xiaoxu" Xing-Zu
- Jungle: Yu "JunJia" Chun-Chia
- Mid: Tsai "HongQ" Ming-Hong
- ADC: TBD
- Support: Zhao "Vampire" Zhe-Can
- Head Coach: Wong "Tabe" Pak Kan
For JunJia and HongQ, this move represents a clear step forward, giving them the opportunity to grow and refine their skills in a more competitive environment. Throughout the 2025 season with CFO, they delivered excellent performances and became two of the biggest breakout players of the year. If their progress continues, they may significantly improve JD Gaming’s results, especially toward the middle of the split.
