Overwatch League Season 2 champion spends over half of earned tax prizes

Jay 'sinatraa' Vaughn said that he was unable to get half of the earned prize for winning the second season of Overwatch League due to taxes. It was 55% that was collected by the state. The remaining 45% went to the winner's carmen.
San Fracisco Shock became Overwatch Legue Season 2 champions, beating the Vancouver Titans 4-0 in the final. For their efforts, the team received a reward of $1,100,000. According to indicators provided by the Esports Earnings portal, sinatraa earned $148,000 in 2019, and based on what Jon Won said, prize taxes were $66,000.
