Topp-esporter besegrar G2 Esports och går vidare till semifinal i VM 2025
Today’s quarterfinal match at the Worlds 2025 Knockout Stage featured the LPL’s Top 3 team, Top Esports, facing off against the LEC’s Top 1 team, G2 Esports. The matchup promised to be exciting, especially considering the teams had already met once during the Swiss Stage in a Best-of-One series, where TES came out on top.

The games turned out to be truly exciting, with Top Esports sticking to their calm and methodical playstyle. They slowly but confidently controlled objectives, taking territory piece by piece, creating space for farming, and setting up a comfortable pace for the game.
From G2 Esports, we saw a very strong performance in Game 2 — the one they managed to win. Their aggressive play on the bot lane heavily restricted Sivir’s farm, providing G2 with a great foundation to snowball the game.
The remaining two games were played almost entirely under Top Esports’ control. The team, following their usual slow and composed approach, continued scaling while dominating the macro game — taking dragon after dragon and steadily cornering G2, not allowing them to play their style.
As a result, Top Esports advance to the semifinals, where they will face the winner of the T1 vs Anyone’s Legend matchup. Meanwhile, G2 Esports end their Worlds 2025 run, finishing in 5th–8th place.
Reminder: The Worlds 2025 Knockout Stage runs from October 28 to November 2, with the Grand Final taking place on November 9. All matches are played in a Best-of-Five format using the Fearless Draft system. The bracket follows a Single Elimination format — meaning teams that lose are immediately eliminated from the tournament.
